Meditation in Movement Style Yoga (MIMSY) is a gentle, therapeutic form of yoga that incorporates mindfulness Meditation with deep, long postural holds. The physical practice of Meditation in Movement aims to address deep tensions within the spine and hips, using seated and reclined postures to bring maximal openness and healing energy to these areas. The practice is deeply relaxing, allowing the mind to settle and the awareness to expand.
What to expect
Meditation in Movement classes focus on restorative poses that aid in opening the hips and healing the spine. A series of ten poses is practiced to the accompaniment of relaxing music. Long, deep posture holds access the innermost layers of muscles, joints, and fascia and allow the mind to become settled and clear.
