Integral Yoga

Integral Yoga was created to help bring yoga’s ancient teachings for living a balanced life into the modern world.  Integral Yoga is a comprehensive practice involving all six traditional branches of yoga: physical asanas, Meditation, devotion to the Divine, selfless service, sacred knowledge, and healing sound vibration. The practice of Integral Yoga is designed not only to create a more easeful body and settled mind, but to promote greater tolerance and peace within everyday relationships and work.

What to expect

An Integral Yoga class will incorporate an asana practice (poses) with breathing exercises, relaxation, silent meditation, and sound vibrations (chanting or mantra). The practice is designed to refine all aspects of body, mind, and spirit.

Integral Yoga was created in 1966 by Reverend Sri Swami Satchidananda to guide younger generations in the ancient yogic philosophies and their application to daily life. Integral Yoga promotes an easeful body, peaceful mind, and useful life.
