Purna Yoga is a classically-rooted, holistic yoga style that aims to achieve yoga’s original, highest goal: uniting the mind, body and spirit and with the universe. Through alignment-based yoga postures, breathwork, Meditation, nutrition, and applied philosophy, Purna Yoga seeks to create greater health and ease not only in the body, but in one’s attitude and general approach to life.

What to expect

Purna Yoga classes start and finish with a short meditation to connect with the heart center. Following meditation, classes shift toward the practice of lyengar-style yoga postures, with careful emphasis on proper alignment. Instructors will share ancient wisdom from yogic philosophy.


Purna Yoga was developed by Mirra and Aadil Palkhivala, drawing on teachings from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. It was designed to offer a comprehensive, integral approach to mind-body-spirit health.
