Yâpana Yoga is a unique, creative blend of Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Restorative Yoga. The dynamic, flowing Vinyasa poses serve to warm up the body and prepare it for the longer, deeper holds characteristic of Restorative Yoga. Props are used to help achieve the longer poses, allowing the body to relax deeply into each posture for maximum therapeutic benefit.
What to expect
During a Yâpana Yoga class, students begin with basic warm-up poses, progress to a more dynamic, flowing series of postures, and conclude with longer, relaxed holds, often involving the use of props. Classes are easily adaptable to the needs of each student.
With over 25 years of yoga experience, Leeann Carey developed Yâpana Yoga with the goal of creating a practice that can be modified to meet the needs of each unique individual.
